Mr. Salada’s practice focuses on intellectual property matters relating to mechanical and associated technologies. Mr. Salada has significant experience with patentability, infringement and validity opinions, license and other agreements relating to intellectual property, and client counseling.Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Salada was Senior Counsel, Intellectual Property & Licensing at TRW Inc., a global manufacturer of automotive components formerly headquartered in Cleveland, and then at TRW Automotive Inc., successor to the automotive components business of TRW Inc. In those positions, Mr. Salada was the senior intellectual property lawyer for TRW’s occupant safety systems segment, which supplies seat belt and air bag systems to vehicle manufacturers worldwide. He was responsible for the segment’s license and other agreements relating to intellectual property and for infringement and validity opinions, and advised all levels of engineering and general management on intellectual property issues, including the intellectual property aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other business transactions.
