Michael P. Gonzalez
Mr. Gonzalez practices intellectual property law that focuses on mechanical engineering technologies. Examples of mechanical engineering technologies that Mr. Gonzalez has prosecuted include biomedical devices and vehicle occupant protection devices.
Prior to working as a patent attorney, Mr. Gonzalez worked at the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a patent examiner. As an examiner, Mr. Gonzalez examined patent applications relating to epicyclic gearing, clutches, transmission controls, and other transmission systems and components.
Among his accomplishments, Mr. Gonzalez was awarded the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property Law, helped to establish the Cleveland-Marshall Student Intellectual Property Law Association and served as Vice President of the Association, and was a recipient of the Cleveland-Marshall Collegiate Scholarship.
